1. Name and where you are from? 

 April Kayganich; Made in LA but raised in the fine land of Michigan.

2. How would you describe yourself? 

Super Virgo, goofy, smart ass, perfectionist, ambitious, and hard working 

3. Tell us something about you that will make us say WHOA!  

I once found a large insect wing from an unknown bug in my hair when I took it down from a ponytail.  I couldn’t shower for weeks without freaking out wondering where the rest of the bug was!

4. How long have you been rockin’ yo rizos? 

As a kid, I rocked them until I was 12 and got addicted to flat ironing my hair-then I brought them back at 23, soooo all together now, 17 years? Damn I’m getting old;)

5. What is your hair routine (including staple hair products and home made recipes)?  

Hair routine:  I shampoo my hair every 7-10 days.  I’ll try to do a co-wash in between to keep moisture locked in my curls.  When I do shampoo, I like to use Miss Jessie’s Super Slip Sudsy Shampoo because it is a great detangler.  I follow with either Pureology’s Hydrate Conditioner or Creme de La Creme by Miss Jessie’s.  When the conditioner is in my hair, I finger comb to make sure ALL of the tangles and knots are out and I get out of the shower and put on Camille Rose Natural’s Deep Conditioning Algae mask with a processing cap and hang out for 15-30 minutes.  I diffuse my hair for only a few minutes after putting Organix Shea and Argan oil in my hair (a new fav) and then Quick Curls by Miss Jessie’s.  I then blast my hair with the dryer to give it extra volume.  My curl products rotate a lot, but this is the one I have had the most success with-my curls look healthy, moisturized and full of life.

To everyone out there; remember to love your life.  Love yourself and love others.  Stay true to your self and respect others.  It makes life so much better and you will see the greatness you can truly achieve when you fill yourself with happiness and love.  Sorry for the cheese, but it’s true!
